Contribuir a la retroalimentaciónWe have been here multiple times and have enjoyed it every time. My go-to dish is the Vaziry Kabob plate, which includes skewers of marinated meat and ground beef (koobideh) served with rice and a white sauce. The spices are perfectly balanced and add just the right amount of flavor.
The food is quite delicious, with a touch of simplicity, and leaves you feeling satisfied without any greasy residue.
I had a late dinner at Kabob Hut and was the only customer. The food was decent and filling, but I wouldn't say it was authentically worth it. My $15 koobideh beef kabob on rice was mild, tasting similar to Afghani food I've had before. I also ordered an $11 dish that tasted like it had ranch or Caesar dressing on it. I would give the overall experience a 3.5 rating; it wasn't bad for the price, but it didn't meet my expectations in terms of quality. The halal chicken pieces were tender and came with a small side of fries. I asked for a side salad instead of rice, which came with ranch dressing in a small container. The fresh tomato slices were carefully separated from the grilled tomatoes on the plate. The food seemed fresh and there was a Persian seasoning mixture available at each table. The restaurant seemed to cater to larger groups with family-sized portions available. The prices were higher than expected for Middle Eastern food, but the service was good. The young woman working there was diligent in cleaning tables between takeout orders. There were no glasses of water or ice available, only condiments for self-service. Overall, I was satisfied with my meal and would return for the kebabs, but not for the other dishes.
When I have lunch near uw, I usually go to this place. the food is delicious and the amount. the place is not big and the service is ok. the price is fair.
Knowing the student atmosphere in the city, I was surprised how this place exceeded expectations on all levels. Cleanliness, freshness, taste and flavor. I would compare the food to any Persian fine dining place (e.g., Rayhoon of Burlington, Ravagh of NYC) and it will meet...the high notch level of taste and freshness. See my review on Rayhoon in Burlington, ON. Kabob Hut brings more flavor and better quality ingredients. But don't be fooled by the simplicity of the decor or the humble location, the prices are comparable to fine dining places in other cities unless you take advantage of the student daily specials. Hats off to the grill-cam, brilliant idea!! Shows how much heart the owner puts in the food and how much they stand behind freshness. I went with my wife and daughter, we had Sultani Kabob and Vaziry Kabob. We all enjoyed it, it is the best. One small technical issue, I asked for a grilled onion on the side, the guy liked the idea and how it relates to culture but forgot to deliver it!
