Thai Sun - Waterloo

This small Thai Resto serves the best Thai food in Waterloo region. My favorite entree is Pawn's (owner) Panang Curry. It's just the best! Ask them to increase heat levels if you prefer a spicer dish, and done. You're not going to fix it.

Unfortunately, I did not have the pleasure to visit this fine neighborhood restaurant since before the pandemic, but after this visit, I will visit more often. It is located on Waterloo Square, where there are plenty of free two hours parking nearby. The restaurant, although small, is picturesque...and spread to give the patrons room and privacy while eating. My visit was at noon with few diners, but there were orders to deliver necessary revenue. My strategy for new restaurants or for returning is to order simple dishes to see how well they are executed, what can help to determine whether they can treat more complex dishes. I ordered spring rolls, crispy tasty with a sweet peanut and the delicate sommee, which also tastefully and balanced. Service was pleasant and efficient. Copies of their menu are included for your information. Will soon return to try more of their fine creations! Very recommended!

The Thai sun was one of our ways to go through the lockdown and beyond. Food is always fresh and tasty. We like the green curry and the peanut food. Good people, too.

I love this restaurant! I and my family take the whole time there! There is so much freshness and taste in the dishes there! Great and safe service (COVID-19 limitations are taken seriously) I love the pad Thai! It's so good, I love spring rolls too! Great food, 30 min away, but super worth it! We usually make a picnic in a park nearby!

Great place for patio dinner, went there for a date night with the wife, had a great meal at a reasonable price, and had great service! Will definitely come back.
