Hot Thomas Barbeque - Watkinsville

This restaurant is a bit off the beaten path, but definitely worth the trip. If you visit on the weekends, make sure to try the baked beans and macaroni and cheese! The food is fantastic and the staff is friendly. We'll be returning soon.

I've been enjoying Hot's BBQ for as long as I can remember, and in my opinion, there’s nothing better in the country than a Hot's BBQ sandwich, a slice of chocolate cake, a raccoon dog, or my all-time favorite—chili cheese burgers! I always have my cake first; it’s the only place where my dad allowed me to have dessert before my meal when I was a kid. I miss seeing Hot’s smiling face when I walk in, but I’m so proud that his family continues to keep this Ocone institution alive!

We were warmly greeted upon arrival, and the service was both quick and courteous. The vintage decorations added a lot of character to the atmosphere. The BBQ was so excellently cooked that it didn’t even need sauce. The stew was the best I’ve ever had. It’s definitely worth the trip!

Big bbq and friendly people and they have chicken mull one of my always favorites, it not better than that!

Enjoyed the best country style bbq ribs! BBQ pork sandwich was yummy and ao were the sides!
