Chez Meyers - Wengen

We simply can't say enough about how wonderful our experience was at Chez Meyer's. For my wife and I, it will be a night we cherish and remember forever. The food was incredible and the service was even better. The owners of this beautiful hotel epitomize class, charm, and good humor. What a delightful couple. Thank you providing one of the best nights of my life. We hope to see you again soon!

We had highly disappointing experience with this place. They serve breakfast food for hotel Regina, and second day of staying they gave us leftovers (at list goof looks like leftovers) from yesterday, like cheese on picture. Also didn't bring all we odered. Also we made reservation for one of evenings and they refuse to serve us with their evening menu and we had deal with rudest wetress. I guess we didn't go to their high standarts. We didn't live up to their high standards.

1. Rude staff. Staff misinformed me that there is table available at 7 at Chez Meyer. I waited 30 minutes in the cold with my husband to finally go there. Then the team said I have no reservation. Instead of apologizing, they said I made a mistake and said I booked at another restaurant in their hotel. I don’t even know the other restaurant existed because it was same hotel number. They berated me for not reserving 24 hour in advance and that all restaurants at their caliber need reservation. I certainly had tried food in Two Michelin restaurant by walking in and asked in Paris and London. Their snobby attitude really made my night and my husband’s birthday night a sour note. I decided to walk out and not try their lower tier restaurant. No thank you. This is not what I booked. Should have inform customer instead of lecturing them on restaurant decorum. I didn’t need to wait for you and walked all the way here only to realize I didn’t have a reservation and you misinformed me and made it my fault. Both men and women managers were rude.

Very excellent dégustation! All courses were super. Source locally from the surrounding area mostly in the Canton of Bern. There is an awesome Husband and Wife ownership team that also ran the dinner and wine service. They are very nice people, with plenty of stories and conversation about Switzerland, history, and overall life! They really represent the true old-school owner-operated charm. Highly recommended.
