Waitrose's vegan stock used to be excellent, but it has now been replaced with obscure trendy items that don't seem to sell. The vegan section is now small and I struggle to find anything suitable to buy. I used to spend £150 a week at Waitrose, but now I only spend £50. I now go to Sainsbury in Marsh Barton instead, as they have a wide range of vegan products. Waitrose, you have lost my business and I hope others will do the same.
I was surprised to find that in the reasonably large town of Okehampton, there were only two breakfast options available on a Sunday morning in July according to Google. The cafe at Waitrose is a nice spot next to the store. They serve delicious scrambled egg sandwiches with cress and sausage buns. The coffee is good and the service is friendly.
I was thrilled to discover a Waitrose in Okehampton - a spacious store with a great selection, friendly staff, and a cozy cafe.
As with all Supermarkets, only a short distance from holiday property, ample parking. Good choice and fair prices.
