Captain D's - West Knoxville

Longer than normal wait in the drive through (10 min) but the fish was overcooked and had black specks and spots throughout, I can only guess that the oil was not cleaned or changed in a timely manner. I was very disappointed in the food.

October 30th 2022, I stopped at Captain D's on Chapman Highway and I ordered the cat fish platter came with three sides and hush puppies. For my sides I ordered 2 orders of extra well done okra mac and cheese. Well needless to say my okra was barely cooked at all the mac and cheese wasn't good at all. I don't understand they have you sit there and wait inline supposedly cooking your food and you get it and it's practically raw what is up.? The baked potato was not hot enough to melt the butter.The fish was not hot either. But our service was very good. But the food was not up to par.

UPDATE:. Senior Dinner Specials on Wednesdays and Sundays. Best Deals Ever! I ordered the Senior dinner of grilled tilapia with lemon pepper, coleslaw and green beans. It was awesome! This Captain D's has improved greatly since my last visit. It's cleaner, the food is better, and no yelling between the staff.

Wonderful service! Kind people, quick turn around time, tastes great too! The dining area was a tad cramed and a booth was turned, but that's the worst of it. Pretty good in my book!
