Carey Tavern Sports Grill - Westfield

I just had the greatest BLT of all time! You might think that there can't be much variance with a 3 ingredient sandwich but I just learned otherwise. Great job, Gibran!

We stopped in to watch a game grabbed drinks and an appetizer. Great service good food and drinks! I recommend the potato skins they are amazing!

Wait staff is phenomenal. The owner has an awesome personality. And the food is some of the best bar food I've ever had!

Okay place. Beef Sandwich was okay. Bread was not good for the broth. Beef was a but dry, but not horrible.

I recently visited Carey Tavern with some friends, and unfortunately our experience was less than pleasant. While the Bouncer was friendly and checked our ID without any problems, the bartender who was also the manager was unprofessional and drunk. I handed over my passport, which acted as my ID, which was issued a few years earlier and had a picture of me with long hair. The bartender/manager, who was visibly intoxicated, refused to accept it, and claimed that the picture looked nothing like me and accused me of using a fake government passport. Despite my explanations and the various other IDs and pictures I showed her, she was still released and made us unwilling. My friends and I were shocked by the bartender's behavior, and it became obvious that she was not fit to serve customers. We left the bar shortly after arrival, feel disappointed and humiliated by the experience. It is not acceptable that a manager and bartender behave so unprofessional, especially when they are drunk on the job. I would not recommend Carey Tavern based on my experience, and I hope that management will take quick action to tackle this problem and ensure that it will not happen again in the future.
