Contribuir a la retroalimentaciónPat and their crew on the goodwin made our knit group of 10 feel so welcome and comfortable for two nights and three days. the space is simple, welcoming and full of history and stratified. two beautiful living rooms for us to collect. to knit and chat. the rooms were clean, the beds comfortable and the location was a jewel. embedded next to the river sissaboo with hiking trails directly behind the hotel for hiking, walking or cycling. the food was great every time (5 meals in total). many seafood with generous portion sizes. the clubhouse looked as if it had been lifted directly from the side of a food magazine. with the cake and carrot cake. superb! all in all, they go to the goodwin and they feel like they go to their family home and that they are the latest family member. nowa scotia gastfreundschaft best! Many thanks, pat, their young and carol ann to appreciate us so many wonderful memories.
Here for three dinner times. great eating, best scallops I've ever eaten, I counted 15 on my teller, while most restaurants would serve 5 7. the squid and the seafood plate are also exceptional, served with the best pommes I had in the years....A small menu, but enough variety to satisfy everyone, including carnivores. make them place for dessert house made cake! the service is excellent, and for people who get used to eating the city, the prices are incredibly reasonable.
We had two wonderful dinners here with pleasant service and beautiful atmosphere. we'll go back there. they do lunch and dinner except Saturday.
Make sure to visit The Goodwin when in Annapolis Royal, Digby, or Yarmouth. A day trip to Weymouth or the Acadian Shore is greatly enhanced by dining at the historic Goodwin Hotel. I recently invited four old college friends, whom I hadn't seen in 45 years, to visit for a reunion. We spent a week exploring many highlights of southwest Nova Scotia, but one of the best experiences was our lunch at The Goodwin. This restaurant is a hidden gem, not overcrowded and not on most tourists' radars. The food is expertly prepared, beautifully presented, and impeccably served. It's not your typical restaurant, but rather a blend of high-quality cuisine and laid-back dining. Whether you're a resident of Nova Scotia or just passing through, you'll appreciate spending time at The Goodwin in a relaxed atmosphere, with friendly staff and a very attentive owner.
