The Zen Hakka Chinese Thai Whitby

Was awesome in the past . Last few times pakoras were terrible. Had from Uber eats and they showed up soggy and cold. I threw them away. Soup was okay when reheated.

Food was good but the price were wrong. What I meant to say is our bill was supposed to be $70 (includes other charges), but we got $80 bill which includes tax and service charge. Their prices were different than the menu. On top of that, Even though we were waiting so long for our food, we were charged 12% of the service charge. What type of service did I get, I have no clue. I will never go back to that restaurant. Rip off!!! I don’t mind paying for food but fix your menu prices 1st..

We LOVE the Zen. I called ahead to ask if they can make chili chicken gluten free- they did it for my chicken and my fried rice too. I was wondering how it would taste but it was fantastic! As with any GF substitute, it didn't get quite as crispy but they did an amazing job making it taste the same and it had a nice coating. I only thought to take a pic after I'd eaten half of it...lolBest wheat-free meal I've had in a long time! More exclamation marks!!!

Absolutely awful the beef Szechuan look like it had just been piled with chili sauce.

Nice restaurant, the service was great. We had Zen special with tiger prawns it was excellent. The Thai Green Curry had tooo much broccoli for my liking and the gravy was very liquid.
