I want to like this restaurant, the ambiance seems nice and there aren 't other establishments like it in town. That said, I 've given this place a shot twice and my family and I are feeling very unwelcomed. My first trip to The Patio at McGuiggan 's my family and I were turned away. There were half a dozen open tables, but I was informed they were all booked with reservations, we accepted this and left.My second, and most recent visit, we wanted to get a seat next to a window (since it is a patio). When we arrived, there were 2 open tables next to the windows, but were informed that they were booked with reservations, so we were seated in the middle. While we were there, another party arrived and were seated at a window table. Out of curiosity, we asked them if they had made a reservation, which they stated they had not.During our roughly 45 minute stay, 3 additional window tables opened up, and other parties were seated. The entire time while we were there, there was always at least 1 open window table available.I get taking and holding reservations, but when there are plenty of open tables I 'd want to accommodate guests. Is it because my family doesn 't look like the guests that McGuiggan 's wants to attract? So congratulations to The patio at McGuiggans you 've turned us away, you 've hidden us out of sight from other potential guests, you 've made us feel like lesser humans. Thought it 2023, but I guess you think its 1963. You 've had 2 shots, you will not be getting a 3rd.
Ok so i went here for date night. Let me tell you!!!.. Foooood is amazing. Service is top notch. The prices cant be beat for great food quality... plenty parking ! Live music as well . Man listen...... go !Parking: Parking lot acrosss the street
Let me preface by saying that we had great, attentive, friendly service from the staff there. Let me also say that the restaurant itself is gorgeous but isn't a patio, more of an atrium of sorts). But wit that said, the food was average at best.My crock of French onion soup $7) was incredibly salty and my ham club sandwich, which was a daily special $12 I believe) was very average. The bacon felt old, the ham tasted industrial and the coleslaw was just okay.My wife's burger $15) was slightly overcooked but decent. Nothing unique about it. My kids chicken tenders and fries were good but the fries themselves weren't crisp and fluffy at all. I don't believe they used the double frying technique.Ultimately while we liked the establishment itself, the food was just very average, which was a bummer. The menu has specials, which is nice, but doesn't offer anything creative or unique. Few appetizers are shareable some are just weird like their chicken biscuits.I did appreciate their extensive sides options however. The kids menu didn't have a single healty option available. It was all fried food or carbs which was a bummer.Decent but could be better.
The ambiance is nice! Felt like industrial meets brewery with the accordion style windows that open to the street. Manager was helping out the staff. The food was soooo good! Cannot stop thinking about the Kogi wings, could literally eat those every day for every meal. Going back soon!
