The food was not even close to the hype, in fact was relatively poorly prepared and did not taste anything like fine Italian restaurants we've been to before. In all of the dishes, the temperature was warm but not hot. Even with the appetizers, there were problems. The mussels that we ordered came in a large pot but over a third of the shells were empty with no meat inside. The only exception was the lasagna. The wait staff seem pleasant, and were trying, but were neglectful and didn't actually understand what was really needed at each table. Example was that they brought desserts but did not bring any plates or utensils for us to eat the desserts with. The only brought them after we asked for those specifically. In addition the acoustics of the restaurant are terrible. There was a relatively noisy group that dominated the entire restaurant. Even when they were gone it still was not the best place to be able to hear each other speak. All in all it was extremely disappointing. We were celebrating an anniversary and a graduation and felt that the celebratory part of it had been diminished tremendously by the noise and the bad acoustics. I would not recommend anybody go to this restaurant.
Been working in the industry for a dozen years and I have never had any problems in my life to be told to sit outside and wait for 2hours like I wasn't allowed in the room with my wife and eve is the most ignorant person in Williamsburg that has to feel better about herself to treat anyone so despicable and she is a manager. So I proudly say that I will not make any changes to avoid any of the properties that are owned by the company who employs this miserable snot of a person. My dog wouldn't have enough respect to look her in the eye. She is by far the most important reason for this 1star failure. You're job I'd customer service, remember that part before you smile too hard over the review. U have a lot of growing up to do before considering yourself anything close to a manager. 7 years of employment shows that your company has poor taste in character to claim you. And you know that you are the very reason trellis failed. A tiger can't change its stripes but u can pretend that you're a new restaurant changing the name until you realize you dear, are my first bad review. Arancini was under cooked but chicken parmigiana was tasty. Drinks were nice. We were not served bread to start with, we noticed that it was being served at other tables.
A great restaurant for the family. Comfort food plus a menu that your kids will like, especially for the pickiest eaters. Tasty for sure. Take a break from shopping at Merchants Square and enjoy a beverage and feed the kids.
Decided to try some Italian food on our vacation. We loved our food from the appetizer to the main entrees, everything was very tasty, including my **** Mary. Our server was constantly checking on us if we need anything.
