The best thing about this cafe is the location. The food was very poor. The poached eggs were both under cooked and overcooked swimming in cooking liquid. The mushrooms were dry the sausage dried out and the beans had been reheated at least 3 times. The staff were surly and the atmosphere nonexistent.
We have been going to this cafe for a couple of years now and it was the best coffee in Windsor. However just lately the prices have shot up and the coffee has got weaker. £3.55 for a flat white is very pricey for something that tastes no better than a very weak late. Such a shame as it’s in a nice location.
Upon entering the restaurant, I noticed that all the tables were dirty. The staff were all gathered behind the counter, chatting and laughing. When my family walked in, they seemed irritated. I asked if the tables could be cleaned, and a rude staff member made a face and retorted, "You only had to ask." I insisted that the tables should already be clean. When I mentioned that I had just asked, she rudely told us to leave and not come back. The behavior of this staff member was completely unacceptable.
What a great little place. Excellent breakfast and well made Cafe Mocha’s. Right on a Main Street… great for people watching.
