What a fantastic place! While we were away on business, we discovered this gem for lunch. All of us ordered BBQ sandwiches, and we managed to feed three people for under $25. The portion sizes were impressive, and the iced tea was wonderfully Southern, just as we had hoped. I wasn’t particularly fond of the decor, but with food this delicious and such friendly staff, it hardly mattered.
The BBQ at this restaurant is excellent. They also offer a kids' menu featuring burgers and hot dogs. I usually stop by on Fridays or Saturdays to enjoy their BBQ chicken, which is available only on a few days of the week, but it's my favorite dish. The restaurant is conveniently located near the intersection of Highway 109 and Gum Tree, and they have a drive-thru window as well.
Since the management and staff changed a few months ago, the quality of the food has declined significantly. In my experiences with the new management, the barbecue is greasy, and the fries and hush puppies are often undercooked. The service is decent, but I visit a restaurant primarily for the food, not the service.
The staff is fantastic, the menu offers a wide variety of choices, and the food always meets our expectations. My family and I thoroughly enjoy dining here. With seven children, we appreciate the spacious booths, which are ideal for us. Our kids are always excited when we tell them we’re heading here for dinner! Highly recommend!
