Contribuir a la retroalimentaciónThe food was fantastic and reasonably priced. The restaurant is dog-friendly, which was ideal for our fluffy companion to join us. Our server, Jaz, was extremely courteous and accommodating.
Nice place our waitress Kylie was lovely nothing was too much trouble we had the haddock and chips not the best batter was over cooked the haddock was very dry I wouldn’t recommend the fish and chips
Booked in today for lunch 2pm. Got there around 1.55 , Not Very Busy, but a few in, not like a normal weekday. Sat at the table for a good 15 minutes before drink list taken. Took another 15 ish minutes before order taken for lunch and a further 50 minutes for lunch to arrive. Dont know what's going on here but the level of service is not improving one bit, never in all the times weve visited the Mermaid weve never had to wait that long, didnt even come round to make sure all was ok with the meal. Although it was fine. Didnt even ask when paying the bill if everything was ok
Poor experience from start. We’ve been here countless times as we live close by, but tonight we feel that the place has gone downhill. Ordered pre meal drinks and we should’ve known, being referred to as my lovely and darling ?? Ordered food, fish and chips for me and was really dry and overcooked, had to ask twice for vinegar which should be obvious. The whole place was quite empty, only 2/3 other tables so not busy at all. Others in our party were not blown away, standards have really dropped. We’ve been coming here for years as we live on the doorstep, think we’ll try elsewhere
We came our mother's 80th birthday and everything about the night was excellent. We had Jaz as our server and he was very charming and even sang happy birthday with us and credit to the pub. We all had different meals and all cooked lovely and We will definely be back
