Contribuir a la retroalimentaciónI have been coming here since i was a kid. I've done a lot of traveling and tried many different Chinese places and still they don't compare to North China
Im very fussy about egg rolls, but there was great with good fillings and crispy outside. I have been looking for a place to go ever since our usual place closed down. The lunch dishes right proportions and fried to perfection such as the sweet and sour shrimp and gang peng shrimp we had. The main course was Mongolian beef and was among the most tender beef I’ve ever had with a sweet sauce. Best chicken wings I’ve had in a Chinese place, it was crispy and sweet chilli sauce they had. North china is one of the cleanest restaurants I’ve ever seen and the bathroom is spotless. Pictures of the dining room do not do it justice. It’s just big enough to not feel cramped, but also warm intimate. The moment we sat down, we were poured hot tea. Which seems to be a dying practice in the newer Chinese restaurants. Our waitress, Wendy was an awesome server and a very sweet person. The front desk and Wendy made us feel welcomed.
A few years ago I raved on their Peking Ribs, which is their most expensive appetizer. Something has changed, they came out flaccid and over salted with none of the crispy glaze that they had before. My meal was some VERY chewy squid. The Hot and Sour soup was good as was my wife's meal. We left the appetizer mostly untouched as well as my meal. They did not charge for the appetizer but did charge for my meal which was left on the table. The manager told me that all squid was very chewy (frozen) and became irate. We will go to China Dynasty just up the street. I should have been tipped off when, on a Friday night, the dining room was quite empty.
We love North China and typically get carryout, although their service is very fast whether dining in or ordering to go. We love the San Chan soup especially and have not had a bad meal there. I typically get sweet and sour chicken and the chicken is sometimes a bit tough and overdone, but not inedible. Overall, we love North China and it's someplace we choose to eat 1-2 times a month.
I called to place an order and the worker hung up on me.
