Great wines. Love this place the consistency of quality. 1 ask, can there be background music in the tasting room so I don't feel like I'm in a doctor's waiting room..lol
Great wine tasting experience. The Italian guy working there was super cool and kind
This is the perfect place if you want a fun and casual wine tasting near Woodinville! They had a great selection of wines to pick from, and the tasting was very well done with good info for each pour. Plan to spend about 45min for the tasting, they also have a good selection of bottles to take home with you afterwards!
It's a solid mid sized winery with a big space in the Woodinville warehouse district. They're cranking out a dependable variety of reds and whites, and, best of all, they often have several wines on sale at amazing prices. This is the part of Woodinville where virtually every single business in every single building is a wine tasting room. Some are homey, some are big public parties, and Kestrel is kinda in between the two. They have a fair bit of space, and can seat about 50. The tasting room is behind a door that looks like a bookcase, which is sorta cool. Might be tough to roll a wheelchair through that narrow gap, though. They offer flights of your 5 choices among 4 whites and 4 reds. Yesterday one of the whites was a frizzante (slightly bubbly). A couple of the reds had a fair bit of age on them. The wines range from solid everyday type drinkers to a couple bigger, heavier reds. When the sales are popping, you can choose cases of about 6 8 different wines at $15/bottles and lower. We got chardonnay yesterday for about $3/bottle $40/case. Their chard is a little heavy and sticky compared to the very fanciest ones, but the flavors are pleasant and never wear out their welcome. We keep bottles of it in the wine rack in our kitchen island, where guests know they can always pull corks without having to ask permission. The service here is pleasant and chatty, and they're always ready with a hand truck to pull cases out to your car for you. I'll always count on Kestrel for a steady supply of affordable stuff worth opening at parties.
