Kestrel Vintners - Woodinville

If you're looking for a fun and relaxed wine tasting experience near Woodinville, this is the ideal spot! They offer an excellent variety of wines, and the tasting itself is well organized, providing valuable information for each pour. Expect to spend around 45 minutes for the tasting, and don't forget to check out their great selection of bottles available for purchase to take home afterwards!

Guests can choose from flights featuring five options within a selection of four whites and four reds. During my visit, one of the whites was a frizzante, which is slightly bubbly, and several of the reds boasted some age. The wines range from everyday drinkable varieties to more robust, heavier reds. When they have sales, you can purchase cases of about six to eight different wines at prices as low as $15 per bottle or even less. For instance, we picked up a case of Chardonnay for around $3 per bottle, totaling $40. While their Chardonnay may not be as refined as the top-tier options, it's rich and flavorful without being overwhelming. We keep a few bottles on hand in our kitchen island wine rack, where guests know they can freely enjoy a glass without needing to ask. The service at Kestrel is friendly and engaging, with staff always ready to help carry cases to your car. I can always count on Kestrel for a consistent supply of affordable wines that are perfect for gatherings.

This used to be one of our favorite spots because the staff was friendly and welcoming. However, since the rude Italian manager took over, many of the original employees have left. As a result, customer service has significantly declined, and there’s a constant turnover of staff. I’ve tried eating here multiple times again, but our recent experiences have been disappointing.

The wines are quite good, although the service can be a bit inconsistent at times. They offer some nice options for table wines that are great for building your cellar.

Fantastic wines! I truly enjoy this place because of its consistent quality. One request: could there be some background music in the tasting room? It would be nice to avoid the feeling of being in a doctor's waiting room! Lol.
