Contribuir a la retroalimentaciónChef Mark and his team do a fantastic job at this neighborhood sushi restaurant. The menu is full of interesting and seasonal items. But you do pay for the creative and fresh fish dishes. However, their take away chirashi is imo one of the best deals around with multiple slices of toro and uni.
Great food, and our server was amazing. Only issue was a bit of a disagreement with management over the bill, but it was sorted.Veggie options are very limited, basic, and expensive.Vegetarian options: Not many options, a lot of the things that seem veggie are actually not (like the miso)
Anyone who thinks this is good sushi, hasn't been to studio city. The fish is average at best, served at room temp, small pieces. The service is unsophisticated and uneven. I guess the folks in the neighborhood haven't had big chilled pieces of fresh fish before. BTW, the pricing is obnoxious to boot!
Made reservations for 8pm still very packed when we got in a few minutes early but they seated us right at 8. You can make reservations on resy about a month out. Parking is located right next to restaurant but it's a very small parking area. There is street parking available too. Ambiance was okay, moderate noise since it's a small restaurant not as intimate as you would expect for a place that serves omakase. My brother and his fiancé ordered the sushi omakase which includes 10 sushi pieces as well as appetizers and dessert. The regular omakase needs at least two people to order. I went with the a la Carte option which still had a great variety. I started with the dry aged bluefin tuna sampler and the ora king salmon sushi sampler. Amazing quality selections of tuna and salmon. Every sushi piece melts in your mouth. They were out of the yellowtail belly so they offered the amberjack belly, kanpachi belly, which was also great. The unagi was one of the best I've ever had. So tender and thick pieces of freshwater eel, delicious. I'm glad I got to try so many selections of sushi. They have an abundant list of sushi, appetizers, sashimi, and beers on their menu.I didn't have the sweet shell ice cream sandwich that was part of the sushi omakase but it was very aesthetically pleasing. Overall excellent service. Definitely expensive compared to most places but I think it's worth a try since it has a variety of dry aged fish and sushi belly options that is not usually offered in the valley.
There’s incredible sushi options all throughout the valley but I can honestly say after two visits that Brothers is the best…and likely the most delicious sushi I’ve had outside of Japan. The omakase is 100% worth it. The staff is wonderful and make any special occasion that much better. You absolutely cannot go wrong here.Food: 5/5
