Contribuir a la retroalimentaciónI had breakfast at Oriole 9 and enjoyed it, but I wouldn’t want to wait over 45 minutes for a meal (we were initially told it would take about 20-25 minutes). They only take names in person, not over the phone, which is a bit inconvenient. The food was decent; the Eggs Benedict came with a $3 charge for some spinach, which felt a bit like a cash grab. The breakfast burrito was also good. I liked the lavender latte—it was sweet but not too overpowering.
The food here is of exceptional quality and offered at fantastic prices! I will definitely come back if I'm in the area. It was truly a delight.
The place was small and very busy so unfortunately very loud. I only mentioned that as an FYI. This is not a place you want to bring your soft-spoken friend. It took me a while but I finally decided on the shrimp and grits. Being from the south especiallyLouisiana this is a dish I am familiar with. They are two pictures for a reason. The very first picture was the initialpresentation before I began to mix it up and eat it. When I begin mixing as you can see parts of the shrimp were visible thatshould not ever be in this dish. I don't personally know who runs the kitchen. I guess I should have asked but I thought theowner the cook and my server for allowing this nightmare of a dish to be served this way. In no way ever should hot lava gritsbe served with shrimp that has the tail on. This is a taste issue and a safety hazard your customers should not have to dig intheir food to peel the tails off of their item. Anyone with a culinary thinking brain who enjoys food should know that youalways take the extra two seconds to pull a tail off of a raw shrimp. There is no flavor added by leaving it on. I am assumingthat this place wanted me to chew up a shrimp tail and spit it out into my dish that sounds really appealing right guys. I hopeI made my point.
This is a lovely brunch spot that uses local ingredients and offers generous portions. I highly recommend the omelettes and chicken sandwiches. The staff is friendly and extremely helpful.
Enjoyable breakfast in Oriole 9, but would not wait the 45 min wait for the meal (we were first told 20-25 min. You only take names in person, not via phone) The food was good enough. Eggs Benedict with $3 extra charge for some spinach seems to grab a little money. Breakfast Burrito also good. Lavender Latte is sweet and not exaggerated.
