There were two four seaters with one lady at each dining. Not sure how or why they were sitting there but we were super cramped and others were waiting as they lounged in a huge area alone. I couldn't help but notice when we arrived they appeared to have finished dining and when we left they were still sitting sipping a beverage. Food was adequate and mostly shines at being unique. Service was ok, as they were very busy.
This place is located in the middle of the outlet mall. Easy access from both sides of the mall. It looks like during nicer weather they have outdoor seating too. Everyone was really nice. You come in a host greets you and seats you. My server came over shortly after and took my drink order and gave me time to look over the menu. They do have a simple but extensive menu. Especially lots of different types of tacos to choose from. I think the Quattro is the best deal: any 3 tacos and a side. The tacos look small but they are filling. They are also packed with flavor. I was shocked I was soo full after. I also ordered the short rib empanadas. They were good. I wish they had an option to try all 3 at the same time. The only thing I wasn't impressed with was the jalapeño cheese sauce that came with the tots. I felt like it had no flavor at all, it barely taste like cheese. Overall good experience and I was surprised they give you a fortune cookie at the end. Nice touch.
Love the food and the staff. The horrible sound (they call music) is way too loud right now! We've been coming here since they open and it's never been this loud. we've asked the manager to turn it down, but she can't for some reason.
Last Thursday, we planned on venturing out to downtown Woodstock for dinner during a storm. Did the severe weather send the fine people of Cherokee County home for safety? Absolutely not and it was as covered up as a sunny Saturday afternoon would 've been. My husband started taking a back way home to Holly Springs and I realized we were by the outlets so I asked if he 'd ever been to Taqueria Tsunami. I had only ever been to the one on Marietta Square (I think I reviewed it years and years ago) so it was kind of like going someplace new for both of us. Hubby got a mocktail that he thoroughly enjoyed and we had avocado egg rolls to start. If you 've never had warm/fried avocado, you 're missing out on one of the finer things in life. Fix it. It comes with a creamy sauce that really did nothing whatsoever and then a sweet chili sauce that was the perfect accompaniment. So delicious! We both got Quattros three tacos and a side I think we both had Korean carnitas, I had a fried fish taco and a Korean beef with cucumber and micro cilantro. He got something else and then what they call a regular taco: ground beef, cheese, etc. He got yucca fries and I got tots with jalapeño queso. 10/10 on everything! I was super tired and not particularly ravenous, but I made sure to taste the fillings of everything before stowing them in a takeout box. I would just get three fish tacos next time, honestly because the textures and flavors were all spot on. I do remember the one in Marietta having sushi but that was nearly 10 years ago, so I 'm sure the menus have evolved. But I did appreciate their fusion take on some rolls when they existed. I highly recommend if you 're around the outlets, or you 're not but want some cool Asian Mexican food.
Good service and great food! Like all Taqueria Tsunami locations, you can't really go wrong with any of the menu options. I've tried almost all of the tacos, one of the bowls, one of the salads, and almost all of the apps and sides and I have never been disappointed! The service here is great! We came on a Friday evening and I expected it to be crazy, but it was actually nice and we had great, attentive service. After dinner we walked around the outlets and we're able to find some great deals as well! That's a win in my book!
