Contribuir a la retroalimentaciónI had fish and chips which wasn't the nicest and the peas came in a bowl full of water. My 2 friends both had chicken wraps and salad. The salad was just leaves and nothing else and they both said the wraps were disgusting and they looked it. Very dry chicken no taste and they were supposed to be flavoured. Wraps also dry. They left it all They complained and had a full refund and as it wasn't queried or offered something different we all think this is a regular thing.
Came back from our recent visit to write this review and realised that I 'd said pretty much the exact same thing 9 months ago. Sadly it would seem that the management do not read feedback and or don 't care : See attached photo: All non meat eaters are apparently on a diet and we have to pay extra as well for the privilege. I did consider having an extra egg etc but at £1.95 each ? maybe not. Why they can 't have a vegetarian version of the full breakfast, who knows. Veggie sausages, veggie bacon, there 's even veggie 'black pudding ' available these days. But of course, none of these are available. On a plus note, the vegetarian breakfast was presented nicely and tasted good. But this is not the point I 'm making. Please management, provide better options for non meat eaters and have a few veggie bit and pieces in the freezer 'just in case '.
Ordered chickpea and spinach curry. Substituted baked potatoe for fries. The smallest ramakin came with eight chips in a small container I ate three fork fulls of the chickpea trying to taste the curry. No curry at all and no spinach, just chopped tin tomatoe and almost raw onion. When i decided to complain i was told that and i quote, ill tell the chef but i cant give you a refund because you have eaten half of it Was i sure that it was not a mild curry. My temper was riseing So we left, my wifes quiche was rubbish. Would never return and would never recomend, we live near by.
My wife and I had the Sunday roast (chicken breast). The meal was best described as warm. The vegetables were tasty enough but the chicken was large, dry and tough/chewy. Regarding the latter, I left 50% of mine and my wife did better leaving 25%. In defence of this establishment, we have previously visited on week days having had light lunches (ciabattas, toasted sandwiches etc) and they've been most pleasing.
Have heard such good things about this restaurant. Firstly they seem to stop hot food at 3pm which is a bit disappointing. Not terribly clear that you have to order hot food at the till and your cake/drinks at the other counter! Ranked outside had not been Kesteven and certainly not been wiped over as we used a napkin and it was absolutely black coffee was not hot enough!! Such a shame lovely venue/setting but doesn’t really flow and is a bit stressful at the ordering etc side. Staff very friendly but needs better organisation
