Very local Kumamoto style ramen characterized by fried garlic sprouts on thick clay keratsu soup. General quantity of Charsiu and I love fresh garlic in soy sauce toppings (but abit on salty side).
Great local restaurant, it is about 5 minutes walk from the Shimotori Shopping Arcade and consistently full. We just waited about 10 minutes at 9 a.m. in the night so great for post shopping dinner. The menu has only 3 rams, regularly (with a bed garlic), spicy and chashu (comes with 8 pieces chashu), the soup itself is the same for all three. The noodles are thin with a very rich and tasteful soup. Personally I liked the regular taste, but if you hungry order of the chashu a 300 yen for the extra pig belly, you will not be disappointed. The normal and spicy rams are 750 yen each, while the chashu is 1050. Toppings like eggs cost extra (150 yen), but I think that is reasonable, or you can save the money and decide for additional noodles that almost always did cartridge. I went the extra mile and ordered 1 sharp and 1 Chashu Ramen (worth it)
Just one of the best shots ever! If you are around this area, definitely a must try. It comes first with only 12 seats at a time. Was not very hungry, but still ends every drop of broth.
The only restaurant in the whole street with such a keep growing long queue at 10pm night. Wait for 15 mins in the cold street night, but the taste is just so brilliant and it’s definitely worth for queuing for this delicious ramen. Very unique and great taste that you can’t find even in Hong Kong this ramen heaven.
