Contribuir a la retroalimentaciónBased at the fantastic Brew York tap room. We had a couple of their craft beers in the sun soaked beer garden and admired the food that was being brought out. I could definitely see myself coming back and grabbing a lunch here one day.
If I want takeaway in York, 9/10 times I get YUZU. The vegan katsu curry is amazing and my usual choice along with the veg gyoza, and I recently tried the miso aubergine bao and tteokbokki in Brew York which were both super tasty the tteokbokki is good if you're looking for something with a little kick. Brew York has a good atmosphere, lots of places to sit (although the likelihood is you'll be sharing a table with other people), very chilled out if you're looking for a casual get together with friends.
The bao buns, katsu fries and ramen are vegan. The katsu is what converted me from being a katsu hater. The brew house also does a pub quizz every sunday which is good fun
We ordered salt n pepper fries and endamme beans. The fries tasted lovely at first but we soon found a blob of meat in the bottom of the basket. Staff apologised quickly and refunded us, we sent the uneaten food back. We don’t know how it happened but they need to sort it out in the kitchen!
Loved the vegan miso ramen with udon instead of ramennudeln. the broth was hearty and tasty, the crispy tofu was delicious and had an amazingly smooth texture in a crispy deep fried teig. it filled me and got me satisfied.
