Contribuir a la retroalimentaciónLove their fantuans! The entire menu is in Chinese but Google translate can help with most of it and honestly you can't really go wrong with what they have! I took a picture of the ones I wanted and showed them to the lady so that might be what you can do too! Be warned, the hours say open until 11:30 but they only make them until they run out of ingredients which is usually 11am! Great place!
Delicious rice ball, someone's reference to a Taiwanese burrito was apt, but really it's a big onigiri. Asked her to make me anything without pork and she was happy to oblige, very friendly service.
Such friendly proprietors who will smilingly allow a crow like me to take photos of them making these delicious rice balls! The menu's only in Chinese so it'd be a good idea to get a good grasp of which one you want beforehand (Google's your best friend). I can't fault this the price, the flavor, the beautifully textured purple rice, the warm BOULDER I carried away, and the soymilk. The most filling and delicious breakfast and one of my top eats in Taipei.
I asked for a vegetarian one, they were great. The woman there spoke a bit of English and understood. I arrived near 8am on a sunday and there was a amall line. Quick service though. As everyone has said, this is so filling. I had it just before 9am and didn't start to get any pangs of hunger until after 6pm.
It was surprising that pork floss, the typical ingredient in a traditional Taiwanese rice ball, was included in the black pepper beef rice ball. In addition, the youtiao in the rice ball remained so crispy after leaving the entire ball at room temperature for 2 hours, which was amazing. Nevertheless, the cheese was a bit too mild to be tasted, so I wouldn’t suggest to pay extra for this addition.
