This was a great place for people to meet, talk and even work but it has become noisy, cold (outer doors persistently open), and with undertones of aggression. Tried the grill but they use the cheapest meat and god knows what the rest is like. If you intend to use this place, take a warm coat, and be prepared to listen to the load shouting and the grill master's narrow choice of music.
Moana Cafe is located in Wollishofen, closest Tram stop #7 Morgental. This new cafe has spent a lot of time, money, and energy upgrading the facility from the former cafe. Even before you enter the place, they have built a new elevated sunny, sidewalk patio seating space with umbrellas and an access ramp for those with physical challenges. Inside the color theme is teal, black and cream. There are tall stools at the bar and window, tables and chairs, and padded booths along the wall. The menu consists of the full range of hot and cold beverages, beer, cocktails, snacks, sandwiches, pastries and more. The place offers soy and lactose-free products (bonus points), free secured Wi-Fi, spotless restrooms with table for baby changing station, and a water dish for your pooch. I had tasty, smoothly prepared soy milk hot chocolate with a frothy top and additional chocolate powder (5CHF). This new place was certainly a welcome surprise. The two ladies working on my visit were very nice. A return visit is certainly in order. Recommended.
Cool looking interior, a bit dark, but not too dark. delicious cheesecake! the cappuccino was pretty decent aswell. i was met with a friendly and quick service. i could imagine this café bar being popular in the evenings.
Extremely friendly service. We felt very welcome. I had the best cheesecake ever here. Delicious.
It is really a Cafe Bar, many people come there for drinks. The place look cozy outside, but the internak atmosphere is somehow different. Not really a hipster-style place (not all should be, indeed . The waiter was very friendly and polite, but brought the wrong tea and peanuts when we asked for honey. A service with a touch of surprise: Homemade cheesecake looked worse than it tasted and came in a fairy big portion.
