I left hungry when I wasn't that hungry to begin with. We went in not long before closing, and they didn't seem very happy to be getting more business. Water wasn't refilled, had to ask for more chips and salsa, and normally Mexican places are great about clearing empty dishes, but this was also not done. I went once in 2020 during the pandemic. This Resort has everything you need, from great food, rafting trips, a swimming pool, and even ziplining! It is tucked away from the crowds and was the perfect spot for us while we explored the park. The staff was also super friendly and helped us truly enjoy our stay. We are actually going to include this campground in the episode we do on New River Gorge National park soon. Stay Tuned. :

The golf course is challeng... leer más A great hidden gem if you are in the Brainerd/Nisswa area. The course is always in phenomenal shape, and the service is outstanding. The golf course is challenging but fair. There are very few flat fairways lots of hills and elevation changes. The property is cut out of the woods, so there are plenty of holes in which a wayward tee shot can be troublesome. Compared to some of the other premier courses in the area, Golden Eagle is a great value. We were able to finish a round in about 3 1/2 hours this past weekend. Highly recommended.

They used to have a platter with a mix of 3 meats and 2 sides (or something similar to that) that we ordered regularly, but they seem to have stopped offering it on their website, so we don't order as often anymore.
