Then a large tour group came in... leer más This was October in Hallstatt and the restaurant was NOT busy. Ordered food and told the soup was unavailable.. fine no problem. Then a large tour group came in 15minutes after us and all served the soup we had requested. Not really fair but ok...maybe they had preordered.. We ordered 2 beers and after 20minutes we had 1 beer on the table and had to request the other- this was answered with a grunt. After an hour we were served our food (we dont mind waiting for food) although the tour group were now on their second course. The food was quickly returned as it was completely raw. The food was snatched away with another grunt with no apology and we were not even told if a new dish was coming. We seriously considered leaving cash on the table for our drinks and walking out. When the food arrived it was still very average. We requested the bill and charged the full amount without an apology or comment. We paid and left which i appreciate alot of people would not do. I want to put things into perspective. I do not complain often about service and appreciate mistakes are made but as the customer you would expect them to be dealt with professionally.
