While visiting Chimney Rock for the day,we stopped at Duncans hopeing for some good bbq,what we got was a plate of disappointment.I had the bbq sandwhich,mac and cheese,corn on the cob and sliced tomotoes. The first thing i tasted was the mac and cheese,which in my opinon was stouffers mac and cheese and was luke warm.The bbq its self,had to be out of one of those big plastic containers that you can buy in bulk at the distributors.I have really learned my lesson,If i dont see smoke coming from the smoker i will not be eating there. The only good thing i can say is that our waiter who had to be about 9years old was very very attentive.

I had one of the best dishes I have eaten in quite awhile at Early Girl—the grit stack. Even my non-vegan husband raved about it. It is often difficult for us to agree on a restaurant so I appreciate they serve both vegan and non vegan options. We will definitely return to try the other vegan options.

However, they are SLOW. Nobody gets in a hurry at Dorsie's. The reason there's a lot of people there all the time is because they are waiting for their food. So if you don't mind waiting for 20 minutes for a hot dog and a Coke, give them a try. If you've got 30 minutes for lunch, keep driving...

Recently, I had the open faced roast beef sandwich, mashed potatoes, and potato salad. The mashed potatoes and potato salad were the best that I’ve ever had anywhere. The roast beef was OK. The gravy is also outstanding. Great service! Excellent parking. Too bad they close at 2 PM as it would be a great dinner spot. Highly recommend.

I usually prefer my egg yolks to be runny, not scrambled, but I can definitely say this is the best scramble I've ever had. The Bow to the King was also good. I'm not a big chicken and waffles person because I feel like they're two different dishes that don't really integrate together to form a cohesive dish. That's how I felt about this too. Individually, everything tasted great though. I really wanted to try the Porky Breakfast Bowl, but they were out of pulled pork when we went. Next time!
