Let's start with the restaurant. I ordered some food and sat down at a table. I was seated by the kitchen wall that has a window looking in to see them cooking. In about 3 minutes a cockroach started walking across my table. Iknocked it off and then looked to see where it fell. I immediately saw 2 additional roaches crawling on the floor below myfeet. I looked in toward the kitchen and saw a 4th roach crawling on the wall beside me. I was about to cancel my order but itcame out quickly so I just took it to go, feeling very uneasy about it. One bite in and it sealed the deal for me. Never goingback. The chicken was dry and bland. The shawarma sauce tastes distinctly like someone poured Tapatio Hot sauce into yogurtand then called it tahini. Instead of flat bread for the hummus I got 2 off brand Hawaiian rolls in an off the shelf zip lockbaggie. Thought it'd give it a try, and now I'm hoping I don't get sick from it. Couldn't finish more than a few bites. Iwouldn't have eaten that much but I was hungry.

This place is just one of the many reasons I love to camp at Lake Cachuma. Their menu is not huge but what they have is nothing short of amazing. My favorite is the tri-tip sandwich. The sides are big and getting one to share is plenty. We always orderthe 50/50. Half onion rings and half fries. They do not allow you to bring your own beverages so a heads up if you plan to. Grab a table by the water and enjoy the view of the lake and the beautiful wildlife.

Jack's sandwiches are the best in the fast food industry. Actually served quite warm to hot. The manager here is excellent.
