19.03.2024 - 04:18Nice little local restaurant. Went with two business companions when the restaurant at our hotel in a nearby town was closed one night. Appetizers were great (two of us had shrimp with garlic bread, the third had a salmon appetizer), dinners were good (a schnitzel with mushroom gravy and cheese spaetzle, 2 pepper steaks). Beer and wine also were fine. All very reasonably priced.

20.02.2024 - 17:30Pizza/Pasta restaurant. I had the buffalo mozzarella appetizer to start, very nice. Pasta dish that advertised a creamy sauce and pepper flake with sausage turned out to be oddly dry and non-spicy, but was served in a neat toasted parmesan bowl that you could eat. PIzzas looked really good. Had a great small brew Italian beer that was a bock on tap....it was really nice as well.

27.01.2024 - 21:55Nothing to write home about...pastas are decent, meat dishes are ok. I was in the area for a week and ate there twice on nights I did not want to go into the city to find someplace. Waiter is a little gruff, but efficient. Had a burrata al pesto as a starter, it was nice. Had fettucine carbonara as a main, also fine. Biz partner had chicken saltimbocca and he was happy. Came back alone the second time and burrata affumicata and the saltimbocca. No complaints. No raves. Decent quick meal and the pizzas looked great.

07.11.2023 - 21:46I don 't think our waiter was thrilled with serving us. His attention was lackluster at best...maybe overtly unwilling at worst. Case in point, he clears the dishes and we have two empty beer mugs in front of us (which he left behind) and didn 't ask us if we wanted more beer, some water, dessert, coffee, nada. I asked for a single scoop of sorbet for dessert...ordered Williams pear....birne ... He brings raspberry. It was excellent raspberry sorbet, lol, but I wanted pear. Anyway, I had the asparagus cream soup. Was nice. My colleague and I both had the cordon blu (the pork version with Gruyere and ham) with fries. Excellent. Sat outside on the patio, it was a nice meal. Prices are a little high, with the park cordon blu coming in at 32 francs and the veal at 47.

02.11.2023 - 19:35We decided to try this restaurant after eating in our own hotel a couple times. Made a reservation to eat outside around sunset. Friendly staff, pleasant atmosphere. They offered a couple of fixed price menus, none of which entirely satisfied me, so a table mate and I combined our two fixed price menus to our satisfaction. Foie Gras appetizer was good, Salad Bostan (with smoked duck and ham) was very nice. On the mains, they totally fell apart. The only 2 of our group that did not complain were the two guys that had a local sausage for dinner. Those eating fish said it was dry as a bone (cod in a sauce) and those eating chicken said the same thing (if it weren 't for the bit of sauce on the chicken it woudl have been totally undesirable. We dubbed the chef the Fish Dryer . I would not go back, plenty of other places to try.
