Empanadas might sound like a humble basis for a cafe, but only if you've never had the empanadas here. The standard selection is great, but the real selling point is the specials that periodically appear, from Spanish omelettes to quince tarts and exceptional quiches. The reliably exceptional quality encourages me to try each new thing that appears in their display.The ambience is as much of a selling point as the food, and while the empanadas are easy to take out and heat up at home, I try to sit down and have much lunch in the cafe whenever I can afford to. The price point is fairly high for a casual lunch, so it's not a place I can afford to come to every day, but rest assured that I am tempted to anyway.
