The owners moved out from NYC about 5 years ago, bringing their recipes for 'Brooklyn-style ' Italian food; we found it to be delicious. From their hand-made pastas specials, nice salads dressings, many pizza selections, their traditional dessert options... including house-made Gelatos in a display case with many tempting tasty choices, to their friendly helpful service staff, overall they present a delightful dining experience. The restaurant is small and seating can be limited during dinner hour; call ahead for a reservation. It 's tucked back in the west corner at Frontier Village behind Einstein Bros. Bagels) on the south side of Hwy 69. It 's well worth the drive to find it, whether for lunch, dinner, or just some rich delicious Gelato, For Sure!

Had pastrami Reuben sandwiches, clam chowder, tossed salad. Everything was excellent tasty. I took off star because service is extremely slow. I don't know if it was the kitchen or the server/waiter. I suspect it was the kitchen that had the problem with keeping up with the volume of orders. But we waited a pretty long time for the waiter to take our order also. Anyway, it was worth the wait because the food was so delicious. Please hire more help.

To be fair I have gotten these cookies many times and normally love them when I come in from out of town. I went in on a Wednesday and got 3 small ones and 6 no... leer más To be fair I have gotten these cookies many times and normally love them when I come in from out of town. I went in on a Wednesday and got 3 small ones and 6 normal sized ones to bring back on the plane for my kids back home. I asked for a few small lemons but she said they were out and would not get another delivery til Friday. Does that mean the cookies are not made fresh everyday? I don’t think so, I got home that same day i bought them and went to eat a lemon, which I normally LOVE, but they were stale and so dry! It was not worth bringing them home on the plane so I just threw away $30!!Lesson learned, if I go get cookies get them on a Monday or Tuesday when they are freshly baked otherwise I would say pass on the. Apparently their bakery is up the canyon about 30 minutes away. I tried to call several times but it would not let me leave a message to discuss with the cookie shop and I am back home.

I love their salmon with mayo and a generous helping of salmon roe. But my favorite dish is a bowl of rice with snow crab, salmon roe, and a shockingly generous (and delicious/fresh) helping of uni for about $30. This place is always pretty crowded but the food is great and service is crazy fast.

Upon th... leer más In a recent visit to San Diego we stumbled upon Mi Ranchito Restaurant near Poway. The food was truly the best Mexican fare I have experienced anywhere. Upon the recommendation of the owner's son, I went with the Seafood Burrito. This outstanding burrito overstuffed with seafood could easily feed 2 people. We enjoyed our dinner so much that we stopped back a couple days later to try something else on the menu. The fish tacos were equally as good. The owner is a delightful lady and we met her two sons who also work very hard to make this a wonderful dining experience. I can't praise Mi Ranchito enough. Try it, you will love it!!

Nearly every morning before school from elementary through middle school we went here for breakfast. The donuts are sweet and the staff is even sweeter. They're really nice people!
