22.12.2025 - 15:34We were looking for a lunch in Brantome and liked the look of the menu here. It was a bonus that there were tables bh the river despite the rain we were covered nicely. Staff were friendly, and our orders were quickly taken. I had the fois gras salad even though I have never tried the dish before and so haven't got anything to compare it to but for me it was one of the best meals I have eaten in a long time. The flavours were amazing and complimented each other so well and was just enough to leave me full but not bloated. My husband had the Smash burger and was more than happy with his order. The cups of Cappuccino were actually a decent size and I was so happy to find a normal cup that I had a second! Was such a lovely lunch in such a lovely location and so glad we chose it.

28.10.2024 - 04:53An absolutely lovely little cafe and easy to see that it had been recently taken over and refurbished. The decor is really nice and well thought out and it has a very welcoming feel to it. The staff, especially the young lady are friendly. We...

12.10.2024 - 09:39Wow what a place. I am not a fan of chain restaurants as I like the unique feel in an independently run business but Frankie Bennys is a little gem of a place. With an American diner feel with booths and high seating, it...

11.10.2024 - 09:27We enjoyed such a fabulous meal in such a lovely restaurant right on the river. We hadn't made a booking bug the friendly staff found us a table outside. The menu was all in French we google translated our way through it with ease. Each course was amazing, and the flavours went so well together. My husband said his steak was one of the best he has ever eaten! It really is a lovely setting with such a chilled atmosphere made for a very special evening.

07.10.2024 - 09:05Good food at a fair price on a put stop from the coast to the Dordogne. Not a lot open on a Sunday lunchtime but luckily the historical quater came up trumps and we found this place. Perfe t to sit people watch.

18.09.2024 - 14:10Nice place to have lunch after visiting the lighthouse and museum. The staff all seemed a little stressed and mismanaged even though there were plenty of them. We both had the Mexicana crepe and were definitely more than happy with them. They were the best savoury crepes we have had in France perfect fir a spot if lunch.

02.09.2024 - 11:39We visited for a carvery to spend time with family for mothers day. We had left it late booking and there weren't many options left for 10 guests so we luckily found the Passage house. The place itself is in an absolute perfect location and...

22.08.2024 - 18:40This is a handy stop before getting to the ferry at Harwich. We thought we would pop in and check out the facilities for overnighting in their carpark in our campervan on a future visit. We both enjoyed a lovely dinner in the pub with a drink. Good choices on the menu and I had a very tasty. well cooked and flavoursome fish pie with veg and my husband had the burger. We also both had a slice of the most amazing salted caramel cheesecake and it set us up nicely for the evening ahead. The facilities looked good for the overnight camping and we will definitely use this place if we ever use the ferry again.

02.08.2024 - 19:43Looking for a special restaurant on the beach for our anniversary meal we came across this amazing place on the next beach round from our campsite. There were no menus or pricings online but I booked anyway as it was a special night, we were on holiday and I just wanted a good meal. The menu isn't exactly massive and to be honest I didn't really fancy much of it but we opted for starters which were great and the Tomahawk Steak sharer for our main. I am honestly not a steak person but my husband is and we ordered it medium. When it arrived the pinkness immediately made my throat try and close up but after tasting my first bite.......OMG......It was amazing. Honestly I have never had a steak like it. The quality, the flavours, spices, seasonings and general presentation really did blow me away. I will probably never habe a steak like that in my life and can still taste every bite. The service was amazing and we really felt like we were treated so well. We also had a cheesecake for dessert which was lovely but it was honestly the steak for me! The only thing I really could have done with was a better cocktail menu as the setting really was so perfect would have happily sat there longer with a couple of cocktails in my hand. The £152 bill was pretty steep but I was happy to pay as everything we ordered was spot on that steak was so worth it! If you don't have the budget ust pop down for a pizza and a beer watch the sunset as it is just as magical as a fancy pants meal in the restaurant!
