The food is not fancy but very good, the locally brewed beer is excellent, and the staff are efficient and friendly. It really is like stepping back into simpler, more honest times. The parking's difficult though. (If you're heading out of Branscombe, you need to fork left before the pub and look for the modest parking area on the right just in front of the pub.
