Once you enter Mill #5 and get off the elevator at Floor 4, you find yourself on the main street of an indoor village a venue with a unique arts crafts flair, populated with shops, a movie theater, a soda fountain, a bazaar, a farm market ... and your beverage destination: the spacious yet cozy cafe called Coffee Cotton. Coffee Cotton is open every day. Other Mill #5 attractions are more likely to be populated Friday through Sunday. The cafe offers more than great coffee or tea. There is food. There is wine and craft beer ... and free Wi Fi. Large, library like rooms filled with tables and chairs attract students, writers, artists, local university and college staff, entrepreneurs, small clusters of conversations, tourists and local residents like myself. Here are photos I have taken at the Cotton Coffee location from 2013 through 2019. Please note that interiors furnishings were different in the older photos. I confess to missing the old Victorian Parlour and quiet for reading (no music was piped in). However, ear plugs work today, or ear buds and Spotify with sounds of nature.

Th... leer más Today was my first time here. It was very clean, service was friendly welcome. I ordered a steak and cheese my sister ordered a steak and cheese with pommes. The food was delicious, my steak and cheese were made exactly as I like. The cheese was melted well, the salad was nice and fresh the onions were boiled exactly right. The fries were good too. I saw a few things on the menu that I would like to go back and try.

For the net we had the vegetarian couscous and the vegetarian tagine that were both amazing and very full. The owner even put a doggy bag for us. Very friendly, welcoming with a beautiful atmosphere. Very recommended!

The waiters were v... leer más We came here for dinner on a Saturday evening in July. It was very busy as in and outside as the restaurant is on the main street of Cabourg. The waiters were very friendly and spoke English quite well. We did our best to speak...French but were quickly given away by our accents. The food was nice, we had a platter of Italian cold cuts, an aperive drink, wine, an entrecote and a pizza. All were tasty and the portions were good. After the main course we were full and decided not to have a desert or coffee. The bill was brought to our table immediately without us asking, although we still had two glasses of wine left in our carafe. After only a few minutes the boss came and joined our table with an empty table next to ours, giving us a very unwelcome feeling. We still had wine left and wanted to finish it at a normal pace. Fewer than five minutes later the waiter came with payment terminal, clearly instructed by his boss. Only when my partner made very clear that we wanted to finish our wine first they backed off. When we finished and payed the waiter was apologetic but that didn't made up for us feeling rushed before. So if you are out for a tasty, quick dinner I would go here. If you are out for quality time I would go somewhere else...
