30.05.2024 - 14:26Higgins has such a great legacy and well-earned reputation. My wife and I recently returned after a year and a half with much anticipation. Menu items were very appealing. Unfortunately we were let down in a big way. Dungeoness crab risotto arrived as a lone pile (plop) of risotto in the middle of a bare plate. Black Cod arrived as two small over-cooked pieces. Halibut filet was dried out, over cooked, placed on a very simple bed of black lentils and a little tomato sauce. Each entre cost roughly $45 and maybe at $15 to $20 I’d have felt OK about it. Service was fine but ambiance is below average and a bit stark. Nothing in this experience would motivate a return or by any means, a recommendation.
