So o... leer más We wanted to take my mother-in-law someplace new for Mother’s Day. We are so glad we chose this restaurant and that we were able to get a 3:30 reservation. So often Mother’s Day means a limited menu and rushed service, but neither was the case here. The food was excellent. The Water Oak menu gives you choices of preparation and sides, so you can decide if you want your protein grilled, blackened, with butter sauce and what sides. Both my husband and mother-in-law had the hogfish, which was excellent. My blackened grouper was spicy and flavorful without being just peppery as sometimes happens with blackening. The short rib fries are absolutely decadent and delicious. I also ordered a salad as one of my sides and it was fresh and a generous portion. Our server was very efficient and accommodating. She paid special attention to my elderly MIL, which was very much appreciated. Definitely save room for dessert! The blueberry lemonade pie is outstanding as is the strawberry tres leches cupcake. I am so glad we discovered Water Oak. My MIL had a great meal. We will definitely be back.
