Our table of 3 began with the bread service with whipped feta. Absolutely luscious the first hit with everyone. We shared theoysters, gumbo, and crab heirloom tomato salad . We used the leftover bread to clean every drop off of the plates. We orderedthe short ribs cobia entrees and enjoyed every morsel. We finished with the panna cotta with (the best tasting I 've ever had)raspberry sorbet, meringue, and fruit. In spite of their being countless choices of places to eat in New Orleans, we willeagerly return the next time we are in town!

There are a few things hotels of any class or level need to be sure their guests are happy and want to return, to any of their establishments across the globe:... leer más There are a few things hotels of any class or level need to be sure their guests are happy and want to return, to any of their establishments across the globe: clean, safe, accommodating friendly and lastly, be sure the alarms are turned off before the next guest checks into the room. When I walked in Benny (female) the front desk manager did not speak or acknowledge me. No welcome to holiday in nothing. She also did not thank me for being a member of IHG. I attempted to make small talk saying it’s nice that she can have a chair at the front desk… crickets.. so I asked was she having a good day she said she’s ready to go. She had been there since 7am it was about 9pm when I checked in. on my profile it says I have two service dogs. I am not only an employee of IHG but love IHG hotels because they are easy to work with for people that have disabilities. My dogs are ADA dogs. When I said I have two service dogs Benny looked at me like I was lying and then asked for my ADA papers. That is not a requirement for Ihg as ADA paperwork shows the persons diagnosis when that is none of the hotel staffs business. As someone with a disability Benny made me feel extremely uncomfortable. I’m traveling across country and do not always have those papers on my for the simple fact I stay at places I feel safe and with IHG I always felt safe and protected. Not with Benny.. also walked into my room the smoke detector battery is dying and the room had a light stench of odor and smoke. I was able to get it out with my Lysol spray I carry. I went downstairs to ask if there is another room or someone that can change it. The night audit girl stayed sitting down and never stood up to greet me… she also had a male visitor leaning over the front desk she was talking to. He did move so I can talk to her but he had to because she never stood up to acknowledge me. She texted maintenance instead of moving me. No apology for the inconvenience nothing. I didn’t want to disturb my ADA dogs as we had been traveling from Phoenix here and person I was with so I just said change it tomorrow. It inevitably, ruins every stay when an alarm goes off in the pre-dawn hours or it is not expected and the warm welcome IHG employees give is lacking/ nonexistent. This has to be the laziest front desk staff I have ever experienced. Their attitudes especially Bennys is quite disgusting and underwhelming. Step up your game IHG an train your staff to check the alarms, everywhere, everyday. This is a huge hotel and for safety reasons the rooms should be checked especially when they know a person is checking into that room. I am not looking for a refund however it would be nice.I did personally speak to Maggie the GM who was extremely apologetic and listened to my concerns. I made her aware on 3/21/2023. 5/24/23 to 6/7/23 Holiday Inn Holiday Inn New Orleans West Bank Tower, an IHG Hotel 275 Whitney Ave, Gretna, LA, 70053 I'm here for another business trip in New... leer más 5/24/23 to 6/7/23 Holiday Inn Holiday Inn New Orleans West Bank Tower, an IHG Hotel 275 Whitney Ave, Gretna, LA, 70053 I'm here for another business trip in New Orleans I stayed for 2 weeks at Holiday Inn Westbank Tower by Wyndham at Whitney Ave. And It's one of the best stay I've ever had! The house keeping supervisor Michelle is always on top of everything when you need something for your room. My housekeeping lady name Brenda is such a sweet lady that cleans and make my bed everyday and the rest of the staff from front desk and to all the housekeeping. so when I come back from work my room is always clean and ready for me to relax and sleep. It's really a home away from home! The bed is so comfortable! And the entire room is always clean! The location is perfect it's about 10 mins to French Quarter. Definitely I will use this place again on my next workation: 5/5 over all!

I bought 5 lbs of large shr... leer más We decided that we wanted seafood GUMBO for Christmas and stopped by and got quick service from the very nice people who work there. I bought 5 lbs of large shrimp and a dozen of crabs which turned out to be mostly female crabs. If you know anything about fixing GUMBO female crabs flavor the GUMBO best because of the eggs inside of them. Didn't get any oysters they were too high. And anybody who is from the South knows that oysters and crabs adds the finishing touches to any GUMBO. Let's not forget that you also need the File's GUMBO seasoning. We enjoyed our GUMBO. Gonna go get me some oysters I miss them. Love them raw. Hebert is just a few minutes from my home and will frequent them more often. Happy New Year to everybody.

Best king cake experience I have ever had with super sweet staff. This was a much more pleasant group of people than Randazzo's. I am not from New Orleans and know hardly anything about how to find a good king cake, but knew I wanted one, and I do know a lot about what I expect in a good king cake. Haydel's is awesome, inexpensive and I will go back. We got the strawberry cream cheese (AMAzING). Next time, by recommendation from the staff, we will get the praline pecan. The best part is that the filling is not over powering. It's just enough on the top layer to fulfill you sweet crave, but not to take over the king cake with overpowering sweetness. DELICIOUS!
