Taste was quite good although I had the idea I was eating a different fish than ordered. The price was surely affordable.

El vino estaba bien, pero el 'lomo con ajo' era simplemente un filete frío y insípido apilado sobre unas patatas fritas sin sabor empapadas en jugo de filete. El otro plato que pedimos fue 'pechuga con ensalada y patatas fritas'. Esto fue un poco mejor, pero lejos de ser bueno, y el hecho de que el perro de los dueños estuviera suplicando por mi pechuga de pollo todo el tiempo no mejoró la situación. El lomo fue devuelto a la cocina y aunque regresó más caliente que la primera vez, mi novia se negó a comerlo. ¡La cuenta no incluía el lomo, lo cual fue bueno! Fue una experiencia decepcionante.

We chose the menu ‘a starter, main dish and a drink’ for €18 p.p. By that time we were already drinking an ‘expensive’ wine, which was not part of the menu. We both had ‘cole salad with shrimps’ as a starter really nice. My girlfriend had ‘veal stew with mushrooms and olives’ a bit sour but tasteful in the end. I had ‘fish of the day, salmon, with lentils, mashed potatoes and chantarel’ a very tasty dish indeed. The white wine with the main meal was more or less tasteless. I almost forgot the amuse, which was nice. Serving was good. The lady owner (I presume) was a bit short in her communication too busy I suppose.... We paid €48 in total for this, and believe it was worth it.

Después de haber estado en el auto por un rato, entramos y encontramos un lugar en la terraza cerrada. Pedimos el Menú de €12,50, una copa de vino de €2, y nos quedamos asombrados por la calidad y la cantidad de los tres platos. La comida realmente buena, un maravilloso entrante, un filete de cerdo muy tierno y un gran helado de la casa para terminar. El servicio fue bueno y rápido. Sorprendentemente, ¡nos quedamos en este gran restaurante hasta las 21:00 horas con solo los dos! Increíble. ¡Recomendaría este restaurante a cualquiera que viva dentro y fuera de Extremadura!

We moved on to Songeon, but also in this village nothing was open. We decided to go to Gournay and enter the first open restaurant. This was Bistrot du Monde (they make special pizza’s for people from all over the world). We went for the lasagna and we were happy with that choice. My girlfriend had the Lasagna Bolognaise and I had the Lasagna Saumon. Very tasteful lasagnas, fast and efficient service and bread ‘on the house’. O Bistrot was a good choice.

Hablaba español, francés, inglés y un poco de belga (el propietario anterior era belga). Comenzamos con unas gambas maravillosas preparadas en aceite picante, deliciosas. Como plato principal, probamos: Entrecote con verduras y papas, muy sabroso Lasaña sorprendentemente buena Lubina frita con verduras y papas, maravillosa. Para beber, tomamos cerveza y una sangría muy buena con mucho alcohol. Una cena estupenda a un precio razonable y un dueño amable y atento.

One night we went in, just to check if someone was there.... and we found Marco, the waiter, a very kind and funny guy. He explained it was a hotel really with a restaurant. He persuaded us to stay and try the food. We did. My girlfriend had a spaghetti with cheese and I had lasagna. The lasagna was good, but the spaghetti was not al dente. It went back to the kitchen and returned al dente but without taste (of cheese). A pity. The restaurant looks very good and trendy and has the potential to attract lots of customers. After the meal Marco showed us a couple of very trendy hotel rooms, really good quality indeed. Tip! Put some signs on the street to show that there is a restaurant, otherwise no one will know.

The terrace is big and not too friendly, completely covered by parasols. I chose the Lasagna of the house, which was a good choice. The others had Prima Vera pasta and Chicken and fries. What I do not like is that restaurants fil your table with all kind of things you do not ask for, but in the end you pay for it whether you eat it or not. Sardine paste, butter, bread rolls, goat cheese, olives etc. I did not eat any of this but had to pay for it. Ok, it was not bad, but I would not visit Coracao do Marques again

I saw the first match here of the WC football 2014 between Brazil and Croatia. There are not too many places in this neighboorhood unless you go to Chinon... We did not take long to make up our minds and chose the Tartare of grilled salmon. It came with a risotto and nice hot vegetables. An excellent meal it was. The lady serving us was kind and entertaining. We had a glass of Chardonnay and Sauvignon and had no more room for deserts. We felt we had a very good deal for the two of us €35. Thanks! After the meal we had a look at the ‘castle’.
