It was a short walk from the station to the Bird In Hand so we sought shelter there while we made alternative travel arrangements. The owners were extremely welcoming and offered advice on local taxi firms and where best to travel to in order to continue our journey to London. The pub has a great atmosphere and the locals were as welcoming as the hosts.
