18.07.2023 - 07:06We were searching Courtney for a good burger, and a menu suitable for four young kiddos two adults. We ordered two black market burgers, the Korean chicken sandwich, polenta fries. It was by far the best food we had on our vacation! The adults and kids were all making yummy noises throughout the whole meal. We have decided to abandon our usual choices and dine here from now on when in town. The food and service were incredible, and we didn’t have to wait long. Highly recommend any chance you get!

16.06.2023 - 08:25Blackfish Pub had excellent food and drink options, along with an excellent location. The seating indoors and outdoors was wonderful and the staff was welcoming and friendly.

25.04.2023 - 06:51I can only assume that serving vegan pizza is not a priority. Vegan cheese is accidentally mixed with regular cheese and not cleaned by personnel.

28.03.2023 - 05:24Quiet little pub around the Lynn Valley Center. Cosy neighborhood atmosphere. Nice and friendly staff. Good service. Your black bear exclusive Pale Ale is overestimated and food is very average.

18.07.2022 - 19:03Black rook bakehouse is a small inconceivable little bakery that I would have missed easily if I hadn't heard online of it while I was looking for places that have cake (I'm always looking for cake) the place was not busy when I arrived there (10:30 on Sunday), and I was greeted by a friendly young lady. as chocoholic I was disappointed to see that they don't offer any of their chocolate cakes this day. However, they had a red velvet (name molly) that I got instead. I also had a speck and cheese croissant.
Bacon cheese croissant 4.5): 2.5/5 (4 if it was not a croissant;) the first thing I need to mention is that the croissant was surprisingly heavy. although it looked around the same size as a regular croissant, it weighted at least 1.5x so much. unfortunately it was not very good as croissant. it had a more bread-like texture, and was not fluffy and buttery as a croissant should be. I enjoy the taste; I just think it should be referred to as a bun rather than as croissant.<br molly red velvet cake 7: 5/5; although the price is somewhat high, the size of the disc was generous (not as big as hitiq, but definitiw much bigger than sweet obsession.) regarding the taste, I must say I loved it absolutely. the cake was very moist and tangy, with a perfect amount of tasty cream cheese frosting (and what seems to be bits of cranberry/raspberry).
although the croissant was disappointing, I came into the bakery especially for her cake, and I left myself happy. although still hitiq is at the top of my list, black rook has certainly found a place in my sugary heart. I really hope that they will offer some of their chocolate varieties the next time I visit.
I just want to mention that the bakery has a funny way of naming their cakes by nameing them like harold' or chester' (and in my case for the red velvety molly I don't know the reason behind it, but I thought it was pretty cute.

10.11.2021 - 22:03We visited the Blenz at W Georgia and Thurston. The staff were disinterested and ill-informed considering the options were coffee and tea. The restrooms were dirty and out of TP early on a Friday morning. I couldn't get past the very poor service and would...never return to a Blenz based on this experience. Save your cash and hit a Tim's or Starbucks. Don't waste your coffee/tea dollars here.
