I used to go to Meuer's Bakery in the 70's and 80's and it had the best hot ham and donuts. It was on 17th and Forest Home Ave. (down the block from house). The... leer más I used to go to Meuer's Bakery in the 70's and 80's and it had the best hot ham and donuts. It was on 17th and Forest Home Ave. (down the block from house). Then after it closed, would mainly go to Grebes...and they are OK. Then I went to National Bakery and it reminded me of Meuer. Since then, I will forever go to National Bakery. Their Badger ham (hot or cold) and hard rolls are the best in town by far! In fact, wanted to go today (Sunday) but they are closed. I personally think that waiting until tomorrow is a better option than going to Grebe's.
