We had a great experience so my husband and I decided there on Monday, the 3rd. To eat October 2022 as our last culinary experience in Palm Springs before your home trip. This second experience was different from the first and I would not give it if it were possible, so I gave it a 1. Our server was Isaac after finishing our meal and receiving our bill, he took our credit card to the bar to process. My husband and I talked about the fact that we thought this was a strange incident and usually a machine is brought to the table, like our first experience with Richie. While Isaac processed our credit card, another employee who was not sure came to our table and started talking to us and asking us to check the restaurant on Tripadvisor. Another strange thing happened when we talked to her. The invoice originally placed on our table was turned off before us. The woman took it and we were occupied by this woman who asked us about our culinary experience. That was all very fast. After we got our credit card, my husband said we didn't make an assessment until we see our credit card statement because something felt very bad. Our credit card statement arrived today and it was certainly not for the amount given to us on the first invoice. We were cheated over $80. For the management, we would be more than happy to discuss this with the top management.

Probably the last time I ever eat here this was the first and last. I don't know what happened to these places, but the chicken was dry. I'm okay, maybe because I stopped the ride until late. The next day he returned and went in and told me some freshly cooked chicken. He said everything was fresh. Okay, I can see that I'm coming back to my room and the chicken is dry and overcooked again. The wing was charred and the rest was not better. So disappointed? I like that El Pollo have improved their menu with a variety of choices for even picky eaters. Much of the food is bland and salt doesn't really enhance the flavor. What I do like is the red salsa which is tangy and spicy and quite flavorful. I ordered the chicken tostada without beans and rice and was concerned if this would be satisfying enough. It was. Especially with the salsa and the delicious cilantro dressing. I would prefer no iceberg lettuce. Or at least shred the lettuce to be better received as a customer. The value is expensive. In fact, buy your own ingredients, save money, and have 3 salads for the price of one. However, if you need a quick, relatively healthy choice, El Pollo can meet the standard. The service was quite impeccable, fast, and friendly. Tables, counters and the restaurant in general were clean. Also the drive thru was crowded at 12 pm but I went in and didn't have to wait too long If I'm in a lunch crunch, I would likely return.
