I thought perhaps they had a staffing emergency that day (I saw ONE person seating, taking orders, communicating with the kitchen, serving and bussing tables), but then I read reviews on google and three out of four complained about the wait, and the fourth defended the lengthy wait.

Been at least 10 years since last visit and yet Elsa's felt familiar and comfortable. Overall a good experience. Main issue was the service. Not with our server, but with the time it took to get our food. Our two appetizers took nearly 30 minutes to arrive and the entrees an hour. We did enjoy the food once it arrived. Bonus: the holiday decorations in the park across the street were beautiful.

I have the crabcakes. they were very tasty (but small for a deserving), but the red beans and rice that came as a side were terrible. at first it was hardly warm and a part of the rice was crispy. it almost had no taste. when the waiter made our teller clear, he did not even realize the full part that remained on my teller. Why didn't he ask if something was wrong with my eating?! So in the round I paid $20 for 2 very small crabcakes. very disappointing. I'm not going back.
