If I were local I’d be back regularly. They did a great job with being COVID safe; inside and outside the tables were well spaced, disinfected after each party, and staff were wearing masks.

The cod was really good, although smaller than usual. The clam strips were terrible. They were nothing but batter, and even when you found a clam strip inside, it had no taste at all. Usually the clam strips are delicious, so this was a huge disappointment. The waiter asked how everything was and my husband told him about the clams. He said they knew they were that way, but unfortunately couldn't get anything else. They are prebattered and frozen and not what they usually get. I understand there are supply issues, which cannot be helped (or can they? . I wish our waiter would have offered us a replacement for the clams, but he did not. I suppose we could have asked for a replacement, but we didn't. I believe it is the responsibility of the restaurant to make the patron happy in hopes of a return visit by the customer. We will reconsider eating here in the future. Very disappointed.

Many a weekend dinner were spent here during high school, college and when my kids were growing up. We moved closer to Pittsburgh and we're not able to make it here as often, but it's nice to know that it's still the same, good quality and big quantity Italian food that we just haven't been able to find an equal anywhere around Pittsburgh. You used to have to show up and sit for hours waiting for a table, but it was always worth it. And they only used to take cash. But now they take reservations and credit cards so that got rid of any complaint. It's amazing the number of people who don't call ahead and will sit and wait. Tonight's dinner was awesome, as always. My wife's spaghetti tasted the same as always, and my veal cutlet parmigiano was fork tender and wonderful. Smart diners will want to ask for extra red sauce for their pasta, because it's so delicious you could almost eat it for dessert. If I had any complaint, it would be their parking. They have expanded the lot, but the restaurant wasn't full when we arrived and I had to be creative finding/making a spot. Other than that, I would suggest you get to the Villa right away, just not on the night I'm planning on being there.
