02.03.2024 - 07:56This restaurant is steps outside the Amphitheater gate of the Pompeii ruins. I expected it to be typically overpriced tourist garbage, but I quickly read some reviews that were overwhelmingly positive, so I decided to try it. The owner Luigi was incredibly welcoming and happy to tell me about the dishes. He speaks English and French (in addition to Italian, obviously). He brought out a complimentary bruschetta which was delicious. I then had a large green salad with tuna mozzarella, sparkling water, and bread (bread is included in the coperto charge) and ended with a coffee. Everything was tasty and I had to make sure Luigi knew I was just full and not that I didn't enjoy the food. The total was 20 USD. I was very happy with my lunch.

03.11.2023 - 04:23I found this restaurant on Trip Advisor as a non touristy option in a touristy area and was very happy with my lunch. It is on a fairly quiet side street above the Colosseum. I ate outside at one of the sidewalk tables. The prices are excellent my small carafe of wine was only 2.50 euro! and along with pasta, a panna cotta, and a coffee, the check came to 23.10. I didn't order bread, and they didn't charge anything for pane or coperto. I don't think the waiters speak much English but they were incredibly friendly. The woman who took my plates away reminded me of my Sicilian grandmother encouraging me to order dessert. The pasta dish (fettuccine alla Nerone, similar to carbonara) was not the best of my trip but I would surely return for the location, service, and delicious panna cotta.
