They apparently only serve in to go cups since COVID, though, which is a shame and definitely detracts from the experience of going out for tea. They have a really cute gift shop area and the overall atmosphere is quite cozy. There are only a few tables inside. They have some patio seating, though I can't imagine it being very comfortable with the noise of the highway right there. Restroom is great for cleanliness/stock, but it's located outside, around the building, so you can brace yourself for a freezing seat and wet toilet paper during the winter months.

I was honestly just really comfortable, so I 'll give 'em another try later. Can 't recommend them at the moment, though.

They don't have a sushi chef on staff at the moment and that can't really be helped, but I expected better of their other fare.The chicken karaage was strangely flavourless. I don't want to complain about something not being greasy per se, but it felt like what I was eating had been baked, not fried. The wife thought it might be white meat. She ultimately decided she was okay with it; I couldn't get over how utterly bland it was.The sake kamameshi rice had great presentation, but what we found when we removed the lid was just bizarre. The fish had been smoked and the flavour of it completely overpowered the flavour of the salmon. The rice was brown and mushy. Overall, it was too salty and they used a sweet sauce of some kind that left my brain screaming that I was eating pork, not fish.The yaki udon was good, but it couldn't make up for the rest IMO.

The place is pretty much spotlessly clean. They sell ice cream in addition to chocolate/candy. The lady working there couldn 't have been nicer. I asked her about the sugar-free chocolates and she allowed me to taste one side-by-side with a normal version of the same flavour. (For the record, I found that they were comparable, but the sugar-free one was a bit less rich and had a smoother texture, almost like the texture of bubble gum. We each bought a treat and snacked on a bench across the street. Very good chocolate.
