My order was completely wrong when I corrected it, she said she had made it new and send it back. I waited two hours honestly from the courtesy of the short staff. I called back to check the order and she was rudely said she was close and call back tomorrow. I called several times after, and she continued to pick up the phone and dropped the line. It must be fired because it is employees like them that make the whole business look bad.

But since the beginning of 2018 the owner changed so that this restaurant became one of the worst places I had eaten. Most... the time that is not available on the menu is very slow. Yesterday I tried to give this place a chance. Ends up farewell because a waiter would not even bring the menu (food is still good) Whatever if you feel like disappointed, you should visit this place.

Deck chairs and umbrellas scattered along the hillside and sumptuous wines and we chose the delicious...duck liver pate. We were fortunate that it was a beautiful day. We just relaxed in the sunshine and enjoyed the view. Highly recommended

The staff is friendly enough and the food is good when I was there without the dog. I only find tolerance to animals to be a fairly basic aspect of customer service.

The food was great I ordered Krautfleckerl (pasta with ham) a typical...Viennese dish, it was good, pasta cooked well and flavours were there, seasoned nicely. As this is a typical Viennese meal it seems very much a home cooked dish with a twist eg it has cabbage and caraway seeds. We also had a cheese and ham selection board (like a ploughman’s lunch), this was again pleasant enough, with a selection of meats and sausages, boiled eggs, bread and pickles and chutney. I think the dessert menu wins though, there was a large selection which made it difficult to choose from but not only that the main course was rather filling too, so did not leave much room for dessert. I had the Kaiserschmarrn and it did not fail in delivery, although huge portion and I did not manage to finish it at all! It came with a choice of dips and I opted the of the more traditional stewed plum. I personally preferred them on their own without any extras, they were fluffy, sweet and delicate, as it says like a pancake but very fluffy. I think I will have to try this one at home! We also had the strawberry cone with had a mousse and strawberries, this was delicious the mousse was light and full of flavour and the strawberries added the extra sweetness, perfect combinations. The cone was a waffle cone again no complaints from me, it was crisp as it should be even with the mousse in it. I would recommend this little bit of sanctuary. The service was brilliant, the server was chatty and very nice and happy to oblige with anything we needed … a few drinks! Great place!

You can take the meals which range from Euro 5.50 to around Euro 7.00 or you can take a large slice of pizza which is between Euro 2.25 to Euro 2.90 (cant remember exact...price). If you have a Merkur customer loyalty card you also get a discount on the meal options. Drinks are a bit over priced but the meals are very well priced and portions are reasonable. With the lunch meal you also get a soup which is good. Since the place is so close to the trains its a great place for a quick lunch between arriving and waiting for your next train and unlike the other cafes in the train station, it actually has a nice relaxing restaurant feel about it. Recommend all Merkur lunch meals affordable and good food.

Great coffee, great food and an interesting menu, and staff members who cared about getting your order correct. Will go back when we are in Raleigh.
