It is dirty and grungy... leer más As an out-of-towner, my thoughts are don't let the physical appearance or location fool you and absolutely do not sleep on these donuts. It is dirty and grungy inside but my review is based purely on the product, not the state of the establishment. What I loved about them was filled donuts are generously filled and my chocolate cake donut was perfect texture and not too sweet with great glaze.

The staff was incredibly friendly. If I could review just them, I'd give them a 5 star rating. The food is not worth it though. For starters, it's not cheap. I feel like they charge more premium BBQ prices for food that doesn't at all live up to it. Almost all the meats NEED bbq sauce. It's not a compliment to the food, but a necessity. The corn muffins are always borderline dry and stiff. The meats are never very warm. The ribs were ok, probably the best of the three meats we got. Jalapeno cheddar Sausage was okay. The brisket burnt ends were okay. Were hoping we'd use up the last of the gift card, but alas, there's more on it. We'll have to try it again, regrettably, and get the use out of gift cards one more time.

If something goes wrong, you can contact a robot from the larger chain to get a discount next time, but the only way to contact the local store and ask what was going on was supposed to be through a provided phone number... that was defunct. After a significant sleuthing I found the right phone number through Google Maps. Then, the first time I called, I was able to hang up and try endless advertisements for almost an hour. The second time, I was picked up relatively quickly and they fixed everything that happened by sending my order after this call... with a paid addition to item missing.

Compared to other places (to see you, la peep), this has a real ambience, is not stiff, is ridiculously expensive (tip staff good, they are dedicated fittings here) and you get the sense that the place has developed over time to not meet the needs of its customers the bloated profit margins of a coarse chain.
