12.01.2024 - 11:34We've been a few times to Hua's. Overall, our experience wasn't bad. The service was good. The Peking duck was also tasty, we did order in advance though so we got it pretty quickly. The plating was nice and quite creative for some dishes.

12.01.2024 - 00:23I came to Copper Spot with my mum, brother and dog. What I love about Copper Spot is that they have an outdoor area, which is pet friendly. You also have to order at the counter, which is low key bad because you are tempted by their cabinet food (I almost fell into that trap). My brother got the beef burger with fries and an iced chocolate, my mum got the scallop risotto and I got the scrambled eggs with smoked salmon and sourdough, instead of toasted bread. <br/ <br/ The food took awhile to come out compared to other cafes but I can’t really complain much as it was worth the wait. My eggs were so delicious! Probably one of the best scrambled eggs I’ve had since it wasn’t overly greasy and buttery, it was more watery which I actually prefer. I topped it off with a lot of pepper and it was the perfect protein rich lunch! The smoked salmon was pretty good but a bit expensive for the amount given and it was also store brought. My brother really enjoyed his burger, especially the fries. He said they tasted fresh and crispy, comparing them to the Kimchi Project’s fries. Mum loved her risotto and it smells fantastic too! <br/ <br/ I would come back to Copper Spot if I’m in the area as they also offer 1+1 food.

11.01.2024 - 19:42I had dinner here and found the service was very friendly. The waitress was lovely at entertaining us and talking to us. The food took awhile to come out, which was slightly disappointing but worth the wait. I got the venison cooked rare and I really enjoyed the dish.<br/ <br/ The venison itself was tender and had a nice flavour to it. The fig sauce and the beetroot added a bit of sourness to the dish, which I really loved as it added an unique flavour to it. The mashed potato with peas on top and truffle was buttery and delicious, it literally melts in your mouth and the pea added a bit of sweetness to the potato. It is a beautiful dish and I highly recommend it.

11.01.2024 - 15:40I came to Safran Cafe for lunch with my mum and brother. The restaurant itself is quite cosy and there is also outdoor seating for warmer days. We were seated indoors as it wasn't warm enough to sit outside (if you do want to though, I believe there are blankets). The service was average and the food came out at a reasonable time. The portions were relatively massive for its price compared to other cafes, filling us all up. I got the cajun chicken salad, my brother got the paella and my mum got the chicken fettuccine. <br/ <br/ The cajun chicken salad was so delicious and filling! The main thing I worry about when I order a salad is that I won't be full but Safran's cajun chicken salad is guaranteed to fill you up. The chicken was covered with cajun powder, making it spicy and flavourful but also a bit dry. The salad was dressed with a bit of balsamic vinegar with half a tomato and a thick slice of cucumber, I would have preferred more dressing but it was still delicious! My favourite part of the salad was the pita bread and hummus. The hummus had a strong fresh taste of chickpeas with a bit of garlic that wasn't overpowering and when I dipped the pita bread (which was also soft, airy and light) into the hummus, it became my favourite combination. I tried a bit of my mum's fettuccine and the creaminess of the chicken throughout the pasta was evident and tasted really good, the fettuccine wasn't soft/overcooked and it was cooked perfectly. My brother's paella looked really delicious as well! Great for cooler days if you want a good hearty meal to warm up.<br/ <br/ Overall, Safran Cafe is definitely a must-try when in Newmarket. I highly recommend this place.

11.01.2024 - 15:20After spending a sunny afternoon on Kohimarama Beach with my boyfriend, we decided to get fish and chips for dinner. I knew about this place from Zomato and decided it was probably one of the best places around the area. We arrived around 5pm and it didn’t seem busy. After we ordered, there was a queue of people so we were so glad we ordered before them. The food came out quickly and we were both satisfied with our meal. We both got a battered snapper fillet each and he also got a portion of fries. The fish was delicious, it was crispy and perfectly fried on the outside and inside was juicy and cooked to perfection. I’d definitely recommend coming here to grab fish and chips if you’re ever in the area!

11.01.2024 - 13:45I came here for lunch with my boyfriend because I remember having the scampi pasta and it was really good. The location is really nice and the atmosphere was very lively. The service was fast and efficient but the food took a while to come out because it was the busiest time when we went. I got the pulled pork sausage for a change and he got the omelette with pancetta. My pulled pork sausage was really delicious, the sausage was flavoured nicely and the ingredients used was fresh and pulled the dish together. I highly recommend Rosie for brunch/lunch because it's a cafe away from the main street of Parnell so you also have a local neighbourhood feel to it!

11.01.2024 - 12:40I came to Joe’s Garage for lunch and I got the eggs (scrambled) with toasted sourdough and smoked salmon. The wait time was a bit long, which is something I realised is a common trend in Queenstown so it may just be a slower pace life compared to Auckland. The portion was filling and the portion of smoked salmon was very generous (5 slices). The eggs weren’t overly buttery or greasy, which I really appreciate.

11.01.2024 - 10:32I came to MELBA with my friends for lunch. The food came out really quickly and the service was efficient. My friend had the breakfast burger and she said it was really good and it wasn’t dry. Another friend of mine also had the Mac and cheese, the menu said garlic bread was provided but he was given white bread instead. He said his Mac and cheese was average. I got the eggs Benedict and it tasted really good. The bread was crunchy, which provided more flavour. The poached egg was perfect as well.

11.01.2024 - 08:04Shared between 3 people, we got two mild baked butter chicken, 4 garlic naan, lamb chops and chicken 65. <br/ <br/ The portions were massive and price was affordable as well! Service was good and the food tasted amazing. Super flavourful especially the garlic naan which I highly recommend! The chicken 65 was quite salty so definitely make sure you have rice next to you!
