05.08.2023 - 16:01Vraiment aucun accueil ni sourire ne s’occupe pas de vous Ne vous regarde pas s’en fiche la tête ds le plateau sans vous dire bonjour ni au revoir Devrait changer de métier pas commerçante … inadmissible et si vous travaillez surtout ne la déranger pas … derrière elle a du travail c’est comme ça bravo la réponse déplorable !

05.08.2023 - 11:34My friend booked L 'Ambassade for dinner as a treat as we had not seen each other for several months. What a disappointment. The interior is lovely and my starter was great (the oeuf mollet but this is all I can praise L 'Ambassade for. The service seemed a little rushed to start with, the menu board was left on the floor near our table for us to read. The waiter appeared friendly but not very attentive. My friend had to stand up to read it as she wasn 't able to see any of it apart from the top 3 lines. At the time of desserts, I chose the millefeuille. Half-way through eating it, I found a long blond hair among the cream. I showed it to the waitress and told her I had found a hair, her immediate reply was ' 'oh sorry I usually tie up my hair when I make them ' ' raising her shoulders. She offered me another one to which I replied ' 'no thank you I am not hungry anymore ' '. When requesting the bill, she replied ' 'it 's at the till ' '. They did not charge me for my hairy dessert (thankfully but charged us for everything else. As I had chosen a menu with dessert, without including the dessert, it made the cost almost the same for my 2-dish menu compared to my original chosen 3-dish option. I understand a hair may fall in a dish on a rare occasion but the attitude of the staff was unacceptable (she didn 't really apologise apart from that one sentence, I would not count this as an apology... . The complete lack of concern, nor commercial gesture was rather disappointing. Rennes has so many better restaurants, I would highly recommend anywhere but L 'Ambassade. AVOID.

05.08.2023 - 10:45Super déjeuner! Le resto est situé dans un bâtiment classé des années 70. Refait à neuf récemment et ça se voit. C’est splendide. Le service est top et les plats sont délicieux et raffiné! Un déjeuner très agréable, merci.

21.03.2023 - 09:19Clairement notre restaurant préféré ! Dès que nous avons l’occasion nous filons rue saint Malo au Byblos. Des mezze copieux et succulent, un restaurant sans prétention et très agréable et surtout un prix très très abordable. Compter 55€ pour deux en demandant tout les mezze de la carte (9froids, 9 chauds) avec une bouteille d’eau gazeuse (1L), 50cl de rouge deux thé à la menthe. Merci, et à bientôt again

01.01.2023 - 18:38Stopped in here on a whim while I was getting new tires. Really glad I stopped! My cheeseburger was a two-fister piled high with toppings. Great food was made super fast and the waitress was wonderful. I will definitely be coming back. Thanks!

14.12.2022 - 07:09Good points: The lobster is delicious. nothing else... but the lobster is worth a star. Bad points: Risotto is not tasty at all The waiters at not very attentive. Very hard to get their attention. I ate my whole dinner with...only a fork since they weren 't interested in the fact that I was never given a knife or a spoon. But it 's ok for a risotto, I guess. The lobster didn 't come with the usual thin fork to get the meat out. Hard to eat. According to the menu, one of the dishes we had should have come with four scallops. We only got three and extremely few legumes (vegetables). That dish was very bad value for money. Should have ordered a whole lobster for the same price instead. The servicing was extremely slow. We asked for l 'addition (the bill) many times. Waiters were chatting with each other, preparing the tables for the next day (was nearly closing time), or playing with their phones. !!! When the bill finally arrived, they had added two additional items that we neither ordered nor had. Was hard to spot for us since we don 't know that many French words, but something seemed suspicious about the total amount, so I checked it in detail. When I pointed it out, the waitress took the bill with a short sorry and disappeared very (very) quickly. A genuine mistake? Maybe. It then took ages until the corrected bill arrived. And nobody seemed interested to actually take the payment. My wife got so impatient that we went to the bar, where the card machine was. The staff still ignored us for a full five minutes before someone finally allowed us to pay.

02.05.2022 - 15:20La décoration est vraiment grande, le service très souriant (et c’est super de passer devant les cuisines et de pouvoir féliciter l’équipe), mais qu’est-ce qui est bon pour nous de revenir ? Dîner, vraiment délicieux. un foie gras, des écrasements, un truffe. Les enfants aimaient la salade de chèvre et la crème brûlée. cocktails généreux et délicieux. mention spéciale à la "petite boîte" dans la toilette qui est une grande idée et que tous les bars et restaurants devraient avoir
